Haledjian realized that Stevens, attempting to establish an alibi, claimed he had been in his room and that he
knew Keyes had departed because he jingled his rare half-dollar.
Unfortunately for Stevens, Keyes carried nothing else
in his pocket against which the rare coin could strike --- and so jingle!
